The chess festival has finished in Gibraltar. Bela Khotenashvili and Lela Javakhishvili participated in it.
Javakhishvili was leading the women’s tournament but in the last round she lost to Li Chao (China). The Georgian earned 6,5 points and took the fourth place. Mariya Muzychuk (Ukraine), Zhao Xue (China) and Natalia Zhukova (Ukraine) took the first-third places with 7-7 points. As for Khotenashvili, in the last round she played draw with Nico Georgiadis (Greece), earned 6 points and took the 64th minute.
As for the main prize, Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine), Ivan Cheparinov (Bulgaria) and Nikita Vitiugov (Russia) earned 8-8 points. Tie-breaks found out a winner. Cheparinov took the first place, Vitiugov – the second and Ivanchuk – the third.
