Georgians Beyond the Three

 

The last round of the International tournament in Hyderabad (India) turned out unsuccessful for the Georgian chess players and so, they stayed beyond the three.

Levan Pantsulaia (2595) lost to Russian Ivan Popov (2652) with black pieces in the final round and took the 5th place with 7.5 points.

Merab Gagunashvili (2556) also took the same number of points and took the 6th place. He played draw with Seturman (2553).

As for Tornike Sanikidze (2553), he lost to Indian Santosh Vidit (2582) with white pieces and with 7.0 points occupied the 15th place.

As we mentioned, Seturman became a leader with 8.5 points, Popov took the 2nd place with the same result and Vidit occupied the 3rd place with 8.0 points.
