Five Georgian chess players participated in international tournament in the city of Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan. None of them got in Top 10.
Levan Pantsulaia (2556) showed the best result from the Georgians. He earned 5.5 points in 9 rounds and took the 13th place. Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2640) took the 20th place with 5.0 points. The prize money of the Nakhchivan tournament was 60 000 USD and Kurnosov gained 10 000 USD.
