Georgian national wrestling federation made a special appeal, which will be sent to International Olympic Committee in the nearest days. It goes without saying that the reason of it is a sensational decision made by the executive committee of IOC, according to this decision Greco-Roman and Free-Style wrestling was taken out from Olympic Games 2020. The authority of Wrestling Federation read the text of this appeal in a loud voice at the press-conference which was held at Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. European, World and Olympic champions who attended this meeting signed this appeal.

Tamaz Tevzadze deputy of minister of Sport and Youth Affair attended this press-conference, he liked this idea and hoped that IOC will make final decision in favor of wrestling.
“Georgia, as the country with a country with wrestling tradition, really can be decisive and we would like, International Olympic Committee to take our opinion on its account while making decision. After a lot of mistakes made by the authority of international federation, this strict sanction was logical, but we hope that the situation will get better and Georgian wrestlers will make Georgian fans happy very many times”- stated Luka Kurtanidze the president of Georgian Wrestling federation.
Guram  Sagharadze and Roman Rurua veteran wrestlers put their attention on the changes made in wrestling regulations, which reflected on the spectacular sides of this sport.

“The ways for decision these problems must be found in any case. As for Olympic Games, it is impossible to imagine without wrestling”-stated Georgian wrestlers.  
In two weeks Georgia has to host European Wrestling Championship and it goes without saying that organizational details of this tournament were interesting for us, but the authority of the federation promised us that they will hold a special briefing for this topic in the nearest future.
