Purtseladze Replaces Khukhashvili

Probably Maka Purtseladze (2353) will play at European Team Chess Championship 2011 which is to be held in the city of Greece, Porto Carras. Purtseladze replaced Sophiko Khukhashvili (2426) in threesome match-tournament which has to find out the fifth member of Georgian women team. Khukhashvili refused from playing, other members are Nino Batsiashvili (2413) and Salome Melia (2396).
According to the FIDE regulations, the tournament will be held in a circle system (2 circles) and time control will be the following type: 90 minutes each of them at the 40th move, 30 minutes before ending the match, 30 seconds will be added after every move. In case of gaining the same amount of points, tie-break will be found out the winner and the winner will become member of Georgian team. Nana Dzagnidze (2525), Lela Javaskhishvili (2464), Nino Khurtsidze (2440) and Nazi Paikidze have already guaranteed places in Georgian team.
Zurab Sturia is head coach of the team, Tamaz Gelashvili is his assistant and captain is Nino Guruli. As for Georgian Men Team, Baadur Jobava (2712), Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2623), Levan Pantsulaia (2614), Merab Gagunashvili (2577) and Davit Zarkua (2443) will play at European Championship.  Khvicha Supatashvili will be head coach of the team and captain is Giorgi Giorgadze.
