Prize Winners will be Found out in the Last Round

 

One round and Women’s Georgian 68th Chess Championship which is hosted by Anaklia will come to an end.

Like the previous round, interesting matches will be held in the last one. As for the 12th round, leader Maia Lomineishvili beat Mikadze and strengthened the leadership. Lomineishvili guaranteed minimum silver medal and participation in European 2011 and Georgian 69th Championships. Of course, Lomineishvili can win gold medal. She needs to win over one of the strongest Georgian chess players Nino Khurtsidze. As for Khurtsidze, she needs victory like air. Otherwise, she might be left beyond prize places. If Khurtsidze beats Lomineishvili, Bela Khotenashvili will have a chance to become champion. She is playing with white pieces against one of the outsiders Mariam Danelia.

The 12th round results: Maia Lomineishvili – Miranda Mikadze 1:0; Sopo Khukhashvili – Salome Melia 0,5:0,5; Nazi Paikidze – Meri Arabidze 0,5:0,5; Nino Batsiashvili – Bela Khotenashvili 0:1; Mariam Danelia – Maka Purtseladze 0,5:0,5; Lela Javakhishvili – Salome Nikoladze 1:0.
