President of UEFA Michael Platini arrived with delegation at 16:50 in Tbilisi. President of Georgian Football Federation Zviad Sichinava and General Secretary Revaz Arveladze met him at the airport.
Platini gave brief comment: “I am glad, that I am again in Georgia. It is not my first visit here and generally, Georgia is football country. As for an idea, that Tbilisi is going to host Europa League final in 2012-2013, it is not my idea. It is initiative of Georgian Football Federation. We will see Georgian football infrastructure once again and will decide. But this decision will be made later. Now it is still introduction stage”.

UEFA president visited technical base “Basa” at 18:50. His delegation members were also with him, President of Georgian Football Federation Zviad Sichinava and General Secretary Revaz Arveladze. He visited the building of this technical base, also stadium with artificial loan, which is already built and stadium with standard loan, which is still being built. Then, he was showed plan of “Base” technical center. There was written that all of this should be ready in December of 2010. Platini joked and said “I cannot make comment today, I will do it tomorrow.” Zviad Sichinava said the following: “Tomorrow, Platini will meet Prime-Minister and head of city, where will be discussed everything in details about holding final match of Europa League in Tbilisi. This is planned for 2012-2013. Platini has already showed readiness to help Georgian side. We have already talked about it and other information will be stated in details tomorrow”.
