The 60th Russian Championship which is held in Saint Petersburg still have two leaders- host Svetlana Metveeva (2379) and Nazi Paikidze(2346) of Georgia.
Leaders played with white pieces in the 7th round and both of them drew. Matveeva drew with compatriot Elena Zaiac (2398) and Paikidze drew with Mariba Romanko (2411, Russia).
Both leaders have 5.5-5.5 points. According to additional index host is on the first place.
In the 8th round Paikidze is to play with black pieces against Zaiac and as for Matveeva, she will play against Tatyana Shadrina (2374).
Russian Championship is held from August 25 till September 3 and 34 chess players are competing in it. Only two of them are foreigners - Paikidze and Serbian Maria Manakova (2306). Prize money of the tournament is 300 000 RUB.
