Paikidze Started Unsuccessfully

 

Georgian chess player Nazi Paikidze(2376) competed unsuccessfully on the first day of the current World Championship which is underway in the capital of Russia, Moscow. Paikidze was personally invited to this tournament.
According to principles of the tournament chess players played 15 matches and Paikidze managed to gather 5.0 points and took 14th place among 16 players.
Natalia Jukova (2499, 5.0 points) of Ukraine and Vera Nebolshina (2360, 4.5) of Russia are behind Paikidze. The leaders of the tournament are Katherina Lanho (2539, 11.5) of Ukraine, Anthuaneta Stefanova (2551, 10.5) of Bulgaria and Tatiana Kosnitseva (2573, 9.5) of Russia.
Today, players will play 15 rounds and will be found out name of World Champion. Prize-money of tournament is 50 000 EUR.
