Zebeda Rekhviashvili, Nugzar Tatalashvili (both 73kg), Avtandil Chrikishvili and Levan Tsiklauri (both 81kg) held the first fights at European Championship which is underway in Budapest. All of them started participation from the second round and won.
Rekhviashvili wrestled against Costel Danculea of Romania and beat him by waza-ari.
Tatalashvili defeated Tadej Ceh of Slovenia in one minute and half.
Chrikishvili wrestled against Georgi Ladogin of Estonia. The Georgian won over Ladogin by waza-ari.
Tsiklauri wrestled against Marian Benkoczky of Slovakia. The Georgian beat him by yuko in gold time. In the main time both of them gained 3-3 shido and one waza-ari. The Slovak advanced at the last minute. Tsiklauri restored balance by waza-ari 6 seconds before the final siren.
In 1/8 final Rekhviashvili will wrestle against Volodymyr Soroka of Ukraine, Tatalashvili – against Alexey Ramanchuk of Belarus, Chrikishvili – against Carlos Luz of Portugal and Tsiklauri – against Laszlo Csoknyai of Hungary.
