After leaving German "Augsburg", Otar Khizaneishvili was training in "Alania" Vladikavkaz and "Spartak" Nalchik. But finally, he is in "Anzhi" Makhachkala. Last week a 28-year old Georgian defender had debut match against "Alania" at the Russian Premier League. He spent last 10 minutes on the field. 3 days after the match, new player of the club met Dargin journalists and before answering their questions, he briefly talked about his passed career.
Otar Khizaneishvili: "I was born in Tbilisi and began my football career there. I was playing for "Dinamo" Tbilisi, in Russia - "Spartak" Moscow, "Dinamo" and "Rostov". Then I went to Germany where I played for "Freiburg" and "Augsburg". Before coming to "Anzhi" I was training in Nalchik. But soon I left Nalchik because of some disagreement. After the call of manager, I came to "Anzhi".
- Are you still playing for the Georgian team?
- I have injuries since 2009 and I almost missed a year. Now, little by little I am restoring conditions. I talked to head coach of Georgian national team Temur Ketsbaia who promised me that as soon as I began playing he would call me up in the team.
- How do you estimate your physical preparation?
- I came to "Anzhi" after the vacation. I was training individually in Germany. I was running every day and physically, I was almost ready. I restored my strength here, though at first it was difficult. In case of need, I am ready to spend 90 minutes on the field.
- Yesterday Nukri Revishvili, Zurab Arziani and Giorgi Iluridze met you. It is natural, that their presence makes you happy...
- Of course, it makes me happy. Thanks to their as well as coaching staff's support the adaptation process passed normally. Day by day I am getting more self-confident on the field and outside of it.
- Which playing position do you like most - central or wing defender?
- I prefer playing as central defender but I also played on the wing.
- Have you realized what a head coach wants from you?
- I know the tactical plan of the coach. Besides that, I am very glad that Gaji Gajyev always supports me and psychologically cheers me up.
- Do you have a wife and children?
- Yes, I have. My family lives in Munich.
- Where do you live in Makhachkala?
- I live in the base. That is better for me as a player.
- How do you spend your free time?
- I watch movies, play computer games, talk to my family on "Skype".
- What do you tell your family about Dagestan and Makhachkala?
- Before coming here I had different attitude toward Dagestan. But now I found out that one can live and work normally here. Here is a good field and base, delicious dishes are cooked. Here are all conditions for productive work.
