In the 5th round the Georgian men’s team beat Israel 3.5:0.5. Baadur Jobava (2695), Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2631) and Gaioz Nigalidze (2494) won their games. Levan Pantsulaia played draw.
The Georgians earned 8.0 points and are sharing the second-fourth places with Greece and Azerbaijan. France is still a leader. This time, it drew with Hungary and gained 9.0 points.
The Georgian women’s team is in the third place. They have 3 wins and 2 draws. Ukraine which has 10.0 points is a leader.
In the previous round No.3 seed Georgian women drew with Armenia. Nana Dzagnidze (2556) lost to Elina Danielian (2457). Bela Khotenashvili (2524) won her game. Meri Arabidze (2374) and Nino Khurtsidze (2462) played draws.
13 November is a day off at the Warsaw tournament. The 6th round games will be held on 14 November. The Georgian men’s team will face Azerbaijan and women’s team – Ukraine.
