Georgian judokas Varlam Liparteliani (90kg) and Adam Okruashvili (+100kg) made through to semifinal of World Masters which is underway in Tyumen. Avtandil Chrikishvili (81kg) goes on fighting for bronze medal. Levan Tsiklauri (81kg), Zviad Gogochuri (90kg) and Irine Leonidze (+78kg) lost in the first round.
In the first round Varlam Liparteliani defeated Grigory Sulemin of Russia by waza-ari. Then, he won over Shohei Shimowada of Japan by two waza-aris and in semifinal the Georgian will wrestle against Kirill Denisov of Russia. Liparteliani lost to Denisov in final of European Championship.
Adam Okruashvili started participation from ¼ final and beat Oscar Bryson of Cuba in three minutes. In semifinal the Georgian heavyweight will wrestle either Andreas Tolzer of Germany or Walter Santos of Brazil.
Avtandil Chrikishvili started participation from ¼ final too but he lost gold-silver chance to Murat Khabachirov of Russia.
Levan Tsiklauri lost to Keita Nagashima of Japan in 1/8 final. Zviad Gogochuri and Irine Leonidze wrestled only once. Gogochuri lost to Asley Gonzalez of Cuba 1:3. Leonidze lost to Song Yu of China in three minutes and half.
