Nikolay Kostov, ex-coach of “Karpaty” Lviv, praises Levan Kenia. Bulgarian coach was even surprised by joining Kenia to “Karpaty”.
Here is a passage from the interview of Kostov, which he have to “Sport-Express”. This shows how coach should approach the players individually.
- Please, name us 3 of the best football players of “Karpaty” of last season.
- First of all Levan Kenia, despite that he has not renewed his forces. Second is Spanish Lukas, and I can say many things about the 3rd one, but I will leave this place vacant.
- Many of people were surprised, why Kenia came to Lviv.
- I was not expected his appearance in my team too. I was surprised. He was doing 50-60% of his opportunities and this is normal when player did not play more than 2 years. Kenia was raising his voice, when there he was unsatisfied with the administrative problems. But when he was going to the field he was forgetting everything. Kenia instantly makes decisions and defenders cannot guess it.
I knew that he was not able to train with 100%, and that’s why I let him not to do the separate tasks. It was necessary special approach with him. Luckily, the other players were not irritating about it. They knew that Kenia was not missing the physical trainings and crosses because of laziness.
