Nika Chanturia, captain of “Locomotive” Tbilisi and Georgian U-19 team, is in Berlin and treats his knee. Fortunately, there is no need for surgery, but the trauma still does not allow him play.
“It’s about two weeks I am treating my knee. When I come back from Berlin, doctors will decide when to start training”.
Levan Kobiashvili helped Chanturia in everything and because of this Nika thanks to the player of “Hertha”.
“Thanks to Levan Kobiashvili. He gives heed to me and supports. Levan met me at the airport and took me to the doctor. Also, I want to thank Lekso Topuria, president of “Locomotive” Tbilisi, who sent me to the doctor in Germany”.
As you know, Cyprus, Israel and Switzerland will be the opponents of Georgia in the European U-19 Championship elite-round. One team will go through to the final stage. Chanturia said that he would recover till the end of May and added: “Even if my trauma is not recovered, I would play anyway”.
As for the estimation of the opponents in the group:
“It’s a quite difficult group, there are strong teams. Switzerland is considered as the main competitor, but neither Israel nor Cyprus are weak teams. For example, Israel won over Italy in the first qualifying stage. However we would do everything to make the team out of the group, make fans happy and play in the final stage”.
