The Team Misses Gorgodze

Mamuka Gorgodze, leader of Georgian national rugby union team and “Montpellier”, got trauma in the won match against “Bordeaux” 28:23 in the last round of French Top 14 and will not help “Lelos” in the upcoming Nations Cup against Belgium.

Georgian third liner injured his muscle and along with Belgians will also miss the match against Portugal in Lisbon on February 8. The Belgians are the debutants of the Nations Cup and at first glance, it should not be difficult to win over them without a leader, but last year this team hold a great fight against the Georgian team and with a merit of Gorgodze the apprentices of Milton Haig won 17:13.

Georgian team started preparations for the future match on Monday at “Shevardeni” base. Head coach of the team called up third liner of “Lokomotive” Givi Berishvili instead of Gorgodze. The meeting of Georgian – Belgium will be held on February 1, at “Avchala” stadium and will start at 15:00. Ticket price is 3 GEl and they are being sold in Vake, in the Georgian Rugby Union in Chavchavadze street and on the game day if some tickets remain from 2 000, it will be available directly at the stadium.
