Joseph Kay, president of current Georgian champion "Olimpi", dismissed head coach of the team Nestor Mumladze.
"I have not talked to Kay. I was told that he made a decision to dismiss me" - stated Mumladze to "World Sport". He trained the team on Tuesday but was fired in the evening.
Boris Goncharov, assistant of Mumladze, and Iuri Gabiskiria, sport consultant of the team, were also dismissed. It is not decided who will head "Olimpi". But perhaps, a new coach can be appointed during the day. It is not excluded that Armaz Jeladze can head "Olimpi". Before that, he was assistant of Temur Makharadze and worked in the coaching staff of Mumladze.
Nestor Mumladze started the season in "Torpedo" Kutaisi but he left the team at the end of September. He started training "Olimpi" at the beginning of October and spent two months in the team. "Olimpi" has not lost a match under his coaching. The team lost only against "Zestaponi" 0:3 in the 1/4 final of Georgian Cup. After 17 rounds of the national championship, "Olimpi" is in the 2nd place with 34 points.
Before dismissal of Mumladze, vice-president Zurab Japaridze left the club. He stated that Kay and he had different opinions about football and that's why he left the club. It is not news for anyone. Kay is attending trainings of the team and makes amendments in daily life of the team.
