"Montepaschi" of Viktor Sanikidze led in the Italian Cup semifinal series 3-1 and made it by winning in a very dramatic game. The 3-rd quarter home meeting against "Cimberio Varese" Siena had fallen behind an opponent by 17 points, but were able to reverse the course of the meetings and to win in the end with a score of-78: 77.
