Georgia Ousts Mongolia

 

The Georgian judo team is in semifinal of World Team Championship. After beating France 3:2, the team of Irakli Uznadze defeated Mongolia 4:1.

The head coach of the team made two substitutions. In 66 kg he replaced Lasha Shavdatuashvili by Amiran Papinashvili and in 73 kg – Nugzar Tatalashvili by Zebeda Rekhviashvili.

At first the Mongolians advanced. Tumurkhuleg Davaadorj won over Papinashvili. Rekhviashvili beat Tsagaanbaatar Hashbaatar by two waza-aris in three minutes. Avtandil Chrikishvili (81 kg) defeated Nyam-Ochir Sainjargal 2:1 and Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg) – Tsogtgerel Khutag. Heavyweight Adam Okruashvili won over Naidangiin Tuvshinbayar.

In semifinal the Georgians will face Uzbekistan which defeated Japan in ¼ final. Russia and South Korea will fight for the final as well.
