Georgian national boxing team departed for the city of Kazakhstan, Almaty, where World Championship will take place on 14-26 October.

Davit Tsiklauri, head coach of the Georgian team, took 8 sportsmen to Almaty: Severian Chiladze (Tbilisi, 62 kg.), Beka Chubabria (Poti, 56 kg.), Giorgi Gogatishvili (Poti, 60 kg.), Zaal Kvachatadze (Tbilisi, 69 kg.), Jaba Khositashvili (Tbilisi, 75 kg.), Iago Kiziria (Poti, 81 kg.), Levan Guledani (Tbilisi, 90 kg.) and Mikheil Bakhtidze (Kutaisi, +91 kg.).

The national team held meetings in Kubuleti, Tbilisi and Dusheti. Some boxers participated in international tournaments in Makhachkala and Baku.
