The press conference was followed to the two international tournaments of the wrestlers: “Throne Cup” and “Golden Grand Prix”, which was held today in the office of Luka Kurtanidze, president of Wrestling Federation. Besides Kurtanidze, only head coaches of freestyle wrestling team met journalists. As for Greco-Roman team, they are at the planned meeting.

Federation president reminded the audience that Georgian freestyle wrestlers won one silver and one bronze medals at the “Throne Cup” in Tehran and at the Parisian “Golden Grand Prix” – 2 gold and 1 bronze. As for Greco-Roman team, they gained 4 gold and 3 bronze medals. Kurtanidze congratulated both teams the successful open of the season and wished them the rich season.

Revaz Mindorashvili, head coach of freestyle wrestling team, said that according to the plan of preparation for the European Championship, the team is not in the optimal shape yet and considering this, he is delighted with the results. European Championship will be held in Finland on April 1-4. Before this, the Georgian team will have three meetings.
