Milton Haig:" We will be Very Balanced and Organised"

On November 24 Georgian national team is better prepared for the match against Fiji, which is to be held at “Mikheil Meskhi”. Milton Haig manager of the team is sure that with the whole mobilization and decreasing mistakes in a minimum, will be possible to beat Fiji national team and Georgian team will finish 2012 year with victory.
Like in the match against Japan, the last training was like a match, but it goes without saying that there were minimum chances of gaining injuries. After losing the match with Japan 22:25, there were made three changes in the main staff and two of them are caused due to micro-traumas.
Milton Haig:” in comparison with the last match, now we had a week for preparation. The team became more organized and we will try to keep balance during the match. It is necessary, back line to be more active and to use our advantages. We learnt the playing style of Fiji and we know that we will not have difficulties in statistics against it, but we should defend ourselves in any directions, because they can make problems everywhere. It is necessary to play with the whole concentration in defense not only for 80 minutes, for 85 minutes. They are very dangerous with ball and that’s why we have to keep the ball as much as it is possible.
Using the ball in rational way is the best way to keep it and it will be depend on the decision of the players. They have to decided, how it will be better to continue attack with the first line or on wings. We have to use initiative and use our attacks. We should take initiative at the beginning and the rival should be under our control.
We made three substitutions in the main staff of the team. Kote Mikautadze is young, he has power and height, plays for French Elite team and we had to give right for him to distinguish himself.  For two weeks he was doing his best during the trainings. He was very close to the main staff in the match against Japan and now he has chance of showing his possibilities. The same can be said about Natriashvili, who deserves being in the main staff, especially when Mamukashvili has a little trauma. As for Davit Zirakishvili, he injured his leg and that’s why he is in the substitutions”.
Irakli Abuseridze:” I repeat again, it was very pleasant to work with Tana Umag, but there was so short time that he could not make any fundamental changes, it will be good if he works with us in the future too. It is possible to learn a lot of things from him, but now we were improving our mistakes.
To my mind, more difficult match awaits us against Fiji, than we had against Japan. Fiji is faster team than Japanese and they have individualist players. If we keep the ball, what we were instructing, play collective defense and limit spaces, minimize our mistakes, in such case we will manage to gain victory”.
Head coach and the captain of the club came to the press-conference with special t-shirts against violence of women and they dedicate the upcoming match to this UN program.  The match starts at 15:00 o’clock at “Mikheil Mekshi” and tickets cost 5 and 10 GEL.
