Aleksandre Metreveli was not seeded at the Shymkent tournament (Kazakhstan, 10 000 USD) but he beat four Russian tennis players and made through to final.

Metreveli defeated Fedor Chervyakov 6:4, 6:3, Ivan Nedelko 4:6, 6:3, 7:5, Andrei Plotniy 6:3, 6:1 and Alexander Lobkov 7:6 (8:6), 6:2.

In the decisive match the Georgian tennis player will face No.8 seed Filip Horansky of Slovakia.
