Prestigious international tournament is underway in the city of France, Isters, where Georgian Aleksandre Metreveli competes successfully. Soon, decisive matches will be held at Open d'Istres Ouest Provence 2011. 17-year-old Metreveli is in ¼ final of singles tournament and in semifinal of doubles tournament.
In the first circle of singles tournament, Aleksandre beat No.5 seed Moldovan Maxim Dubarenco 5:7, 6:3, 7:5. Then, he won over French Maxime Chazal 7:5, 1:6, 7:6 (7:1). In ¼ final, Czech Marek Routa will be opponent of Georgian tennis player.
In doubles tournament, No.4 seed duet of Metreveli and Japanese Kishi beat Italian tandem in ¼ final – 7:5, 6:7 (5:7), 10:7. In semifinal, they will play against German-Polish duet (Elias-Smola).
Metreveli has 276.25 points and is in the 91st place in ranking.
