Zurab Menteshashvili left “Hapoel” Ashkelon. According to “Sport News” 30-yar-old will join “Zestaponi” . There was information about his possible transfer “Zestaponi” last year. But “Mentesha” left “Hapoel” Tel Aviv and joined “Hapoel” Ashkelon.
He participated in the last match on January 8, “Hapoel” Ashkelon won over “Hapoel” Tel Aviv 2:0.
“Mentesha” was playing for “Wit-Georgia” Tbilisi (14 match, 1 goal) which was competing at National Championship in 1999. He started Georgian football career in “Gorda” Rustavi (15 matches) in 1997.
His first foreign club became “Skonto” (1999-2002-77 matches,11 goals), then he continued career in “Spartak-Alania”(2003 -13 matches), which was competing in Russian Supreme League. He joined “Skonto” again in 2003 and was playing till 2006 (68 matches, 8 goals), after “Skonto” he joined “Shinik” Yaroslav (15 matches), he continued career again in Latvia, this time in “Ventspils” (2007-2009 - 54 matches, 4 goals) and finally he was playing in Israel. The clubs of Israel were the following: ”Hapoel” Tel Aviv(2009-2010-25 matches) and “Hapoel” Ashkelon(2010-2011- 15 matches). “Mentesha” became champion f Israel once and champion of Latvia 8 times. He participated in 40 matches of Georgian National Team (2000-2010) and scored one goal.
