Mate Gvinianidze: "The Coach Should Be a Good Person in a Life Too"

After winning the home match against “Metalurh” Donetsk (4:2) in the 10th round of Ukrainian Premier League, Georgian defender, Mate Gvinianidze gave an interview to the official website of the club.

- Do you feel that this was not just a calendar meeting, but the game for six points?

- I do not know, it was for 3 or 6 points, but I think that everyone saw that we were playing well. It’s a pity, that we could not use every goal moments. We were able to score more. As for the scored goals, in those two episodes, we missed concentration. But, we will discuss this with the coach and we will make conclusions. In any case, I can say that we improved quality of our game.

- During the match you were winning, but you have not played to keep the account deliberately...

- In such moments, every team tries to keep the account and they do not risk. We moved ahead and thanks God we won.

- Did the team know, that Gennadi Orbu is already the head coach?

- No, I did not know. But, this is not the main thing. I really like working with him. The important thing is not to be only a coach but also a good person in life. And I see this in him. When I go to the field, I feel that he not just dictates me, but as a football player, who plays with me as a partner. I respect him and I hope, that “Sevastopol” with Orbu will show good results. After all, this is what our fans and our leadership expects from us.

-  10 rounds are already played in the Championship. How would you estimate the play of the team in last period?

- We could be higher and lower too. It is difficult to estimate. It is clear that all our fans want us to be as higher as possible in the standings. We will try to collect as many points as it is possible.
