The Georgian judo team will hold two meetings before the international tournament which will take place in Tbilisi on March 21-23. Head coach Irakli Uznadze took the members and the candidates of the national team to Bakuriani. Ushangi Margiani (81 kg) and Levan Matiashvili (+100 kg) are not on the list due to injuries.

The Georgian Judo Federation released information about Margiani and Matiashvili.

“In Dusseldorf Ushangi got injury in repechage and Matiashvili – while wrestling Adam Okruashvili. Giorgi Mgeladze, doctor of the team, stated Margiani needs one-week rehabilitation. Matiashvili will be treated three days. Then, he will be examined and we will know when he will be able to start practicing” – the Facebook page of the federation reports it.
