After the end of the game between Georgia and Czech Republic, everybody agreed on one thing that the fate of the Georgian team was decided by tiredness of leading basketball players. In the first three rounds of EuroBasket 5-6 Georgian basketball players played the most actively and of course, it played its role. Besides that, the Czechs held the best game at EuroBasket yesterday…
Igor Kokoskov: “Our opponent played much better than us and deserved victory. We were physically, morally and mentally tired. Everybody knows that we have limited roster. The Czechs used it well and gained advantage in the first half. Despite everything, I am proud of my team. The boys do their best for success”.
Giorgi Tsintsadze: “We made many mistakes in defense and offence as well. It is easy to explain the reason of the failure. After tough loss to Croatia and Slovenia, the Georgian national team was physically and morally tired. Despite it, I think we did our best in the previous games. I thank our fans who supported us from the tribunes”.
Manuchar Markoishvili: “The Czechs fought more than us and deserved this victory. When you make some many mistakes in such important game, it is impossible to think about success. Hopefully, we will learn from our mistakes”.
Duda Sanadze: “It was a very important game for us. Unfortunately, we lost. It was obvious that our leaders were tired. They played brilliantly in the previous three games. I am proud to be a member of this national team”.
Pavel Budinsky: “Today we did everything. We played easily in offence. We played a good team play. Besides that, our substitutes earned 30 points. I congratulate the Georgian national team. They showed up at EuroBasket perfectly. Today they were tired”.
Tomas Satoransky: “The Georgian national team held tough games. We gained advantage from the first minutes and advanced. We did everything in offence. If we scored 39 points against Spain, today we earned 95 points. Yes, Beka Burjanadze is my teammate and he will have a great future. He is a very hard working boy and will achieve a lot”.
