International Judo Federation has released a new World’s ranking in which the results of European Open in Obewart is also regarded. Depending on the tournament standings, only few changes happened in the lines of leaders. The leader was changed in the only weight (90kg), where according to the previous ranking-list Varlam Liparteliani was leading. This time Cuban Esley Gonzales surpassed him with 18 points.
Avtandil Chrikishvili is still leading 81 kg weight category. He is 472 points ahead of French World Champion Luis Pietri.
Amiran Papinashvili is in the 2nd place in the lightest weight and is 544 points behind the Japanese Naohisa Takato. Heavyweight Adam Okruashvili is in the 3rd place again.
Besides these four Georgians, Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66kg, 9th) and Levan Tsiklauri (81kg, 9th) also maintain their place in the best ten, but this does not mean anything for Shavdatuashvili, because he decided to change the weight and in 73 kg he will start everything from the beginning. In this weight category Zebeda Rekhviashvili is in the 13th position and Nugzar Tatalashvili is in the 26th place.
By the Austrian victory, Rekhviashvili joined the ranking-list of 81kg weight category. Those 100 points, which he gained at European Championship, helped him to enter in top 100. Zviad Gogochuri (90kg), owner of gold medal, occupies the 14th place.
The most unpleasant situation is still in 100 kg weight category – Aleksandre Mskhaladze has the most reliable results among the Georgians, he is in the 59th place.
