Judo International Federation published world’s new ranking and among men, 2 Georgian judokas are leading from 7 weight classes. It is a long time that Avtandil Chrikishvili is leading 81kg and by winning the Parisian Grand Slam he strengthened his position. In 90kg Varlam Liparteliani is in the first place. By winning silver medal in France he surpassed Cuban Eshley Gonzales.
Amiran Papinashvili also participated in France. Like Liparteliani, he also gained silver medal but this was not enough to become a leader in 60kg weight category.
Heavyweight Adan Okruashvili played weakly at Grand Slam and is in the 3rd place.
Besides these Georgian judokas, Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66kg, 9th) and Levan Tsiklauri (81kg, 8th) also maintain the place in the top ten. But this does not mean a lot for Shavdatuashvili, because he decided to change the weight and he should start everything from the beginning in 73kg weight category. According to the last data, in this weight category, Zebeda Rekhviashvili is in the 13th place and Nugzar Tatalashvili in the 25th place.
The most unpleasant situation is in 100 kg again – the most reliable ranking has Aleksandre Mskhaladze, who is in the 59th place.
