Georgian judoka Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg) is in the semifinal of Dutch Grand Prix. Men winners are found out in 3 weight classes on the last day of Rotterdam tournament. Four Georgian judokas wrestled on tatami but only one of them guaranteed to stand on pedestal.
There is no repechage at Grand Prix and Liparteliani will win, at least, bronze medal. If he holds both 2 matches like he did in 3 previous ones, Georgian anthem will be sung.
Georgian judoka beat Venezuelan Jose Camacho, Polish Krzysztof Weglarz and Spanish David Alarza by ippons. He will wrestle against Russian Kirill Voprosov in the semifinal. Slovakian Milan Randl and Japanese Yuya Yoshida will wrestle against each other for the final.
Today Zviad Gogochuri (90 kg), Davit Loriashvili (100 kg) and Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg) wrestled but they lost in the 1/4 final and took the 5th places.
