Levan Kipiani, minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, stated that he knows the idea about the Georgian-Azerbaijani-Kazakh joint championship and has worked on this issue. His comment was published on the official website of the mentioned ministry.

Levan Kipiani: “Every idea regarding development of sport is interesting and we, of course, welcome it. I know this project. I have worked on it. I have talked to the Azerbaijani and Kazakh sides about it. However, I know about the difficulties too. Details are not known yet and when we will find out them we will have to talk more. This project is discussed as a business one. The government wants to develop football and clubs. The role of the government will be known when this project will be ready”.
