Georgian sambo wrestlers Nodar Metreveli and Irine Leonidze won bronze medals at World Championship.

Ushangi Kuzanashvili (62 kg) and Niko Kutsia (82 kg) could not get in Top 3.

The Georgian sambo team arrived in Tbilisi with 6 medals. Vakhtang Chidrashvili (57 kg) and Levan Nakhutsrishvili (68 kg) became world champions. Lasha Guruli (100 kg) won silver medal. Leonidze, Metreveli and Kakha Mamulashvili (74 kg) took the third places.
