Lado Dvalishvili had a good season – he became champion of Poland, won Cup and was close to becoming top scorer of Ekstraklasa. As you know, the Polish Championship ends up later than other championships and that is why Lado played only in one from two national matches. He did not play against Ireland but was in lineup against Denmark.

Dvalishvili is in Tbilisi and talked to “World Sport”:

- Do you think it was your best season?

- It was one of the best for sure. Everything finished well, expect one: I wanted to become top scorer and I think I could have done it if not pneumonia. I felt good in the last rounds.

- As we know, you played as a back forward in “Legia”.

- It is true. I played on this position 90 per cent.

- Can “Legia” made through to the group stage of Champions League?

- It is our goal. Three stages are ahead but we do not play grands. “Maccabi” Haifa where I played managed to do it. I want “Legia” to do it. We have a chance.

- How do you compare the Polish and Irish Championships?

- They have different playing style. Technical football is preferred in Israel and powerful football – in Poland. The level is equal.

- Tribunes are almost crowded in Poland. What causes such boom?

- They know how to support. They are very noisy and devoted: they support till the end.

- Three Polish football players play for “Dortmund” but Poland has a weak team. What is the reason?

- Besides these three football players, they have other good players but the national team does not have result. They do not know why. The same question is about the Georgian national team but there is no answer.

- You did not play against Ireland. What can you say about the match against Denmark?

- I could not play in the last round of the Polish Championship. I was ill and had high temperature. I did not feel good against Denmark too. We had few players in offence and that is why I played.

- You played alone in offence against Denmark…

- It is time to play in offence. The fact is that we must improve something in the national team. Hopefully, Temur Ketsbaia will have a plan. When you score goal, you play to keep the score but I do not think it is good to play in defense from the first 20 minutes.

- Why does it happen? Is it instructions of the coach or cannot players play in offence?

- I think it is already our habit to play in defense. We will play in defense even against Faroe Islands. I think we have such players that we can think about offence.
