Manuchar Kvirkvelia (74 kg), leader of Georgian Greco-Roman style team, managed to defeat only one opponent at World Championship in Moscow. European, World and Olympic Champion lost against Neven Zugaj of Croatia. Zugaj could not go through the final. So, Kvirkvelia lost a chance to fight for bronze medal. Before wrestling against Croat, Kvirkvelia beat Mayli Raul Consuegra Panfe of Cuba.
Georgian team finished competition in Moscow so that none from the team of Begi Darchia stood on the pedestal.
