The Georgian national team is preparing for the game against Slovenia which will take place in Celje on 7 September. Today our team held the practice on “Celje-Arena”. The Georgians know the importance of tomorrow’s game. We talked to assistant coach Kote Tugushi.

- What is the mood of the team after losing to Croatia at the last seconds?

- In spite of loss, we will continue fighting for making through to the next round. Our team showed not only an interesting and beautiful game against Croatia, but also its willpower and fighting ability. The Georgian team will play with different tactic against Slovenia. We know Slovenia is in a good mood after beating Spain. We will try to play Slovenia with different tactic. Slovenia will have support of fans but we are ready for the fight. I thank to our fans for their support. Hopefully they will support our team in the games against Slovenia, Czech Republic and Spain as well.  

- More Croats were active than the Georgians. 6-7 Georgians played the most actively. Was their tiredness one of the reasons of the failure?

- We were close to victory. Everybody did their best on the arena. We lacked luckiness and tiredness of the main players played its role as well. We will play Slovenia with different tactic. I cannot say more now but I promise our fans that the team will fight till the end.

- Do you think our team has a chance to make through to the next round?

- In spite of losing to Slovenia, Spain is the main favorite of the group. Slovenia, Croatia, Georgia and Czech Republic will fight for going through to the next round. After losing two games Poland has only theoretical chance. The Georgians will do their best to achieve success and to overcome the group obstacle. It is a tough task but our team has a chance and a great potential too.
