The 4th round of the second circle started with “Batumi”-GSAU match which was hosted by Batumi. Head coaches prepared both teams for the second circle. Mikheil Kobeshavidze, former head coach of GSAU, heads “Batumi” and Gia Kazanjiani, head coach of Georgian U-16 team, coaches GSAU.
As it was expected, the match between “Batumi” (the 9th place) and GSAU (the 8th place) turned out quite tense. The hosts won the first half with a 9-point difference – 31:22 but GSAU managed to overtake its opponent and 40 minutes before the end of the match the score was 70:71. The guests could not do anything more.
Duda Sanadze, new forward of “Batumi”, collected the most – 31 points in this match. It is worth mentioning that Sanadze used 16 penalties from 20. Giorgi Kvelashvili, central forward and teammate of Sanadze, made double doubles. He earned 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Revaz Chachanadze collected the most – 13 points from GSAU.
