As it was expected, the executive committee meeting of Judo Federation passed peacefully. On September 22 the main topic of the meeting was to appoint Soso Liparteliani as the head of National Judo Team, executive committee appointed him on this position with one voice. They also unanimously accepted Dilar Khabuliani’s statement of resignation from the presidential post of Judo Federation. Former president came to this meeting and made a comment:” I officially represented my resignation statement to executive committee today. Executive Committee offered me to stay as honorary president, but I refused. As for Soso Liparteliani, he is one of the best coaches and we were sure in his possibilities when we appointed him as a head coach of Youth National Team. He justified our hopes and I want to wish him success.” After appointing Liparteliani he offered executive committee to appoint Temur Khubuluri as an expert-consultant of National Team. Giorgi Gugava was appointed as a head coach of Youth National Team. Khunuluri in an interview mentioned that for success is necessary some time and good coaches since childhood age for future sportsmen.” If our activity will not be successful we will go as we came, but it is not normal to chance coaches very often”- stated he.
As for special meeting of Judo Federation, the date is still unknown. For now Executive Committee is instructed to realize preparation works and after that will be settle the date of the meeting. Giorgi Aleksidze who is acting as President of Judo Federation stated that the presedential election will be held at the end of the year. Certainly new head coach of National Team Soso Liparteliani was paid bit attention. He thanked executive committee for being such unanimously:” Such unanimous support is very important for me. I understand that I came to the National Team in very crisis time, but I hope that with everyone’s help and cooperating we will get back the success of Georgian Judo traditions. I am sure that time of split and deteriorate will finish”.

In the nearest future National Youth Judo Team will compete in the World Championmship. According to Soso Liparteliani after the competitions young sportsmen will be integrated in National Team and young generation also will be given chance of showing their possibilities”.
