The next special meeting of executive committee was held at Judo Federation today. The resignation statement of Dilar Khabuliani, former president of federation, was discussed at the meeting. The executive committee satisfied his statement.
Unlike the previous meeting of executive committee, Dilar Khabuliani attended the meeting today. He only thanked and left the building of federation and his position where he has worked for 19 years.
Dilar Khabuliani made a short comment about a new head coach of the team Soso Liparteliani. According to him, Liparteliani is a professional and at first, he was appointed as a head coach of youth team on his initiative. Khabuliani mentioned that he hoped Liparteliani would justify his hopes and it happened, head coach of youth team achieved serious success.
The second issue was appointing Soso Liparteliani as a head coach of the team. Most members of executive committee supported his candidature and Liparteliani was officially appointed. Soso Liparteliani put forward Giorgi Gugava's candidature as a head coach of youth team. Executive committee agreed and now we can say that Giorgi Gugava is a new head coach of youth team. Liparteliani asked executive committee to appoint famous sportsman and coach Temur Khubuluri as his consultant. His request was satisfied.
Giorgi Aleksidze, first vice-president, also acting president of federation, stated in conversation with "World Sport", that executive committee has not decided yet when special congress will be held to represent presidential candidates of federation. Though, executive committee has to prepare this issue and then will hold congress.
