Temur Ketsbaia head coach of Georgian National Team called up 24 players for qualifying round match of 2012 European Championship against Malta which will take place in Malta on October 12.
According to official web-site of Georgian Football Federation, Ketsbaia who arrived in the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi on Thursday called up the following players:
Goalkeeper: Nukri Revishvili ( “Anzhi”, Russia), Giorgi Loria (“Dinamo”), Grigol Bediashvili (“Olimpi”);
Defenders:Aleksandre Amisulashvili(“Kaiseryspor” Turkey ), Kakhi Kaladze (“Genoa”, Italy), Zurab Khizanishvili (“Reading”, England), Lasha Salukvadze, Davit Kvirkvelia (Both of them in “Rubin”, Russia),Malkhaz Asatiani (“Lokomotivi”, Russia), Ucha Lobjanidze (“Dnipro”, Ukraine), Mate Ghvinianidze (“Miunchen 1860”, Germany), Nika Kvekveskiri (“Baia”);
Midfielders: Levan Kobiashvili(“Herta”, Germany), Giorgi Merabishvili (“Voivodina”, Serbia), Jano Ananidze (“Spartaki”, Moscow), Gogita Gogua(“Spartak”, Nalchik, Russia), Aleksandre Koshkadze(“Dinamo”), MurtazDaushvili (“Zestaponi”), Davit Devdariani (“Orhus”, Denmark);
Forwards: Nika Gelashvili(“Zestaponi”), Mate Vatsadze (“Dinamo”), Aleksandre Iashvili (“Karlshrue”), Lado Dvalisvili (“Maccab”, Haifa, Israel), Davit Siradze (“Spartaki”, Nalchiki, Russia).
Ketsbaia called up 4 players –Davit Devdariani, Murtaz Daushvili, Nika Kvekveskiri and Mate Vatsadze who did not participate in matches against Greece (1:1) and Israel (0:0). Kvekveskiri from these four players has never played in National Team, he was playing in U-21 National Team in 2011 European Championship. Only Vatsadze played in National Team.
Lobjanidze will not be able to help National Team against Malta, he was shown two yellow cards. National Team will gather on October 4 and will stay at “Bomond Garden” Hotel, where they were staying at before the match against Israel. Match between Georgian and Malta National Teams will hold at national stadium on October 8 at 21:00.
