In the Ukrainian Championship “Dnipro” won over “Dynamo” Kiev 2:0 in home match and is in the 2nd place, however is 3 points behind “Shakhtar” Donetsk. Jaba Kankava, captain of Georgian national team, hold another good match, was one of the best on the field and did a great job.
However, besides the fact that he played well, at the 23th minute Jaba saved the life of Oleg Gusev (Kiev), who ingested his tongue after a dreadful crash with goalkeeper Denis Boyko. Gusev fell unconscious and before the doctors came, Kankava immediately ran to him and helped Gusev to regain his breath.
In the 5th round of Lithuanian Championship “Granitas” overcame “Dainava” 5:0 and the Georgians scored 4 goals of 5. Giorgi Alaverdashvili and Tamaz Chargeishvili scored 2-2 balls. Alaverdashvili scored first and fourth goals and Chargeishvili – second and 5th.
“Granitas” took the 6th place. Alaverdashvili scored 4 goals in the Championship and is leading the Top scorers list together with Serbian Tokic.
