Oksana Kalashnikova, Georgian tennis player, started well at the Pune tournament (25 000 USD) in India.

In the singles tournament, Kalashnikova (#6 seed) defeated Ksenia Palkina (Kyrgyzstan) 7:5, 6:2 and in the 1/8 final she will face Japanese Rika Fujivara.

In the doubles tournament, the duet of Kalashnikova and Polish Magda Linnet overcame the Indian tandem (Prerna Bhambri and Nidhi Chilumula) 6:2, 7:6 (7:4) and went through the ¼ final, where they will face the British duet (Zhoselin Rae – Anna Smith).
