Oksana Kalashnikova the second seed of Georgia managed to go through three rounds of the tournament (prize money 25 000 USD) which is being held in the city of Poland, Katowice. She will play in the semi final.
In the first round No. first ranked Kalashnikova beat Kim-Ali Gradeck 6:3, 6:3 and yesterday she held two matches (rain caused some issues) and won both matches.
At first, Oksana beat Michaela Pochabova of Slovenia - 6:2, 4:6, 6:4 and then Paula Kania 6:2, 6:3. Her opponent is Magda Linette(rank 6) of Slovenia in the semi final. Eva Birnerova(rating 2) of Chezh Republic and Oksana Liubtsova of Ukraine also will play in semi final.
In couple tournament Kalashnikova and Liubtsova beat Lukanarova and Pochabova of Slovenia 6:3, 6:3. But in the semi final Pole duet (Piter and Sobachkieva) beat them 3:6, 6:3, 5:10.
Maka Chakhnashvili and Damakhovska of Poland beat Savinikh of Russia and Vogt of Liechtenstein 6:3, 6:3 in couple tournament in tennis tournament which is being held in the city of Italy, Bielle (prize money 100 000 USD). They play against Koritseva of Ukraine and Olaru of Romania.
