Kalashnikova will Play at the Indian Tournament Again

 

As we already reported, last week Oksana Kalashnikova stayed beyond the Pune tournament (25 000 USD) due to her trauma. Fortunately, the trauma was not serious and Georgian tennis player will be involved in the Navi Mumbai tournament (India, 25 000 USD).

Oksana (No.8 seed) will play against Kyrgyz Ksenia Palkina in the first round. In case of winning she will face the best between Sunkara and Bosale of India.

In the doubles tournament, Kalashnikova and Latvian Diana Marcinkevica will compete with Ukrainian Diana Bogol and Russian Anna Morgina.

Tamar Chalaganidze will play in the Antalya tournament (10 000 USD). Her first opponent will be No.4 seed Ukrainian Aliona Sotnikova.

Meanwhile, Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has published a new ranking, in which 8 Georgian girls were also included: 126 (126). Ana Tatishvili – 499 points; 215 (216). Sopo Shapatava– 288; 318 (320). Oksana Kalashnikova – 146; 423 (419). Ekaterine Gorgodze – 93; 469 (468). Maka Chakhnashvili – 74; 704 (680). Sopo Kvatsabaia – 32; 1204 (1196). Nikoloz Basilashvili, who will play at the Doha tournament (10 000 USD) in this current week, is in the 366th place with 116 points in the ranking of Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP)

No.3 seed Georgian tennis player will play against Dominic Shults of Germany in the first match. In the doubles, Basilashvili and Belarusian Yahor Yatsuk will face the duet of Qatar – Al Ali and Al Mohamud.
