Today, "Genoa" officially represented new member of the club Kakha Kaladze. Captain of Georgian national team had breakfast with president of club Enrico Freziosi. In the evening he had the first training in "Rosoblu".
Kakha will play with number 13 T-shirt in the club of Gian Piero Gasperini.
"At first I was playing with this number in "Milan". That was one of the most beautiful periods of my life".
Presentation of Kaladze was held in Vila Rostan. Georgian player did not forget to thank "Milan". He stated that he had spent 9,5 years in "Milan". Last year and half was full of problems. But now this is past and he is thinking about "Genoa".
"I know, that I am in one of the most old clubs of Italy. I always like "Tifozes" here and I know what does derby with "Sampdoria" mean for them. This is a real phenomenon and losing it is a tragedy, winning is a triumph. I always liked attacking style of "Genoa". Here are strong players, for example, Luca Tony... He is a perfect striker and it is good that now we are teammates".
According to "Genoa" website, Kaladze is that player who refused to play for "Juventus" because of them. Kakha thanked chiefs of "Juve" for their interests. As for the aims:
"We will fight for Champions League. I believe that "Genoa" can take place among the first four teams. I will do my best to gain confidence of Gasperini. I had only a 10-minute talk with coach of "Genoa" and I understood that he needs me. That's why I refused to play for "Juventus".
"Genoa" won the first match of Serie A over "Udinese" 1:0. "Genoa" will hold the second match against "Chievo" on this weekend. Perhaps, number 13 player of "Rosoblu" will have a debut match on this day.
