Kakha Kaladze the captain of National Football Team transferred from AC “Millan” into “Genoa” serie A, but he has not visited new club yet. Georgian defender has reason of it- he joined Georgian National Team for qualifying matches of European Championship 2012. As you know “crusandars” drew with Greece (1:1) on September 3 and on September 9 to host match with Israel in Tbilisi. “World Sport” took an interview from 32-year-old captain, at first player estimated last match.
Kakha Kaladze: It was important to start sub-group round well. We did our best for succeed in Greece. We could win, but I think that drew also was quite good result.
-You have already started preparation for match against Israel. Our fans wait for victory, but I think that rival also will fight for winning.
- I agree with you, strong fight waits for us. The Jew started qualifying round quite well, they beat Malta. They to try win in Tbilisi also. We play in our own pitch and I am sure that stadium will be full with our fans. Drew with Greece will motivate them to do it.
- Please, tell us few words about favorites of group F.
- It is such group, where each team has chance of going through the next round. Our rivals are not Italy, England or some other European countries but I think that Greece and Croatia have more chance of going through the next round. But in spite of this there is chance for everyone. Everything is ahead, now we should concentrate only next match which is held on September 9.
- Kakha playing as a left-wing defender is common for you, but in national team you played in this position after long pause.
- it is true that I did not play as a left-wing defender in AC “Milan” for 4-5 years, but I am professional and have to play there where coach decides. As for midfielder position, when team will need it I will play in this position.
- Lets talk about “Genoa”, you will have more playing practice there, will not you?
- As you know, I was in AC “Milan” approximately 10 and “Genoa” is new club for me. As far as I know there is good staff, it is ambitious club and what is the main club has chances of playing in Champions League in new season.
- Probably it was difficult to leave AC “Milan”.
- It was impossible to resist what was happening in “Milan”. I was in club for 10 years and it is unacceptable for me.
- In details please, it was coach’s fixed idea or leadership of club had problems with you?
- It does not matter, what was the reason. In any case, I am very grateful to AC “Milan”. If I succeeded in my career it relates to this club.
- What will be your position in “Genoa”- midfielder of left-wing defender?
- Probably I will play as a midfielder. I have not visited “Genoa” yet. When I left for Cyprus with team my transfer in “Genoa” was decided then.
