World Youth Chess Championship ended up in the city of South Africa, Durban. Two Georgians competed in it.

Nikoloz Kacharava (1758) earned 8 points and shared the 4^th-8^th places at U-10 Championship.

Giorgi Sibashvili (2335) gained 6.5 points and took the 21^st place at U-16 Championship.
