Supposedly, a foreign specialist will train Georgian judo team. Georgian Judo Federation conducts talks with Austrian Peter Seisenbacher. Seisenbacher visited Tbilisi several days ago and a business meeting was held.
Managers of Georgian sport talked about appointing foreign consultant as a head coach of the team at the meeting of executive committee. Officially it was stated that foreign specialist would train the team. Recently, there were rumors about candidature of Seisenbacher and "Sports News" contacted Giorgi Aleksidze, acting president of Judo Federation, to find out more about this issue.
"I cannot say anything about this issue. Foreign specialists advised us candidature of Seisenbacher. He paid a one-day visit to Georgia. We met each other and we will continue negotiations. We will make a final decision about in the middle of October", - stated Aleksidze.
We asked head of Georgian judo about team meetings left till the end of 2010. According to the preliminary plan, team of Soso Liparteliani will participate only in two tournaments - Rotterdam Grand Prix on October 15-17 and World Team Championship in Istanbul on October 30-31. Besides of Dutch Grand Prix, there are 6 tournaments which gives license rating points for London Olympic Games. Tokyo Grand Slam has the highest rating among them (December 10-12).
According to Giorgi Aleksidze, federation works on adding Japanese Grand Slam to their plans and perhaps, this issue will be decided positively.
