Georgian Judo National Team has been training for three weeks in Japan. A head coach Soso Liparteliani took 7 judokas 10 days before beginning of Grand Slam (11-13 December) and held the conclusive meeting. After finishing the tournament Georgian team participated in joint training in Tokyo. On December 17-18 Chine hosts Grand Prix. 28 National Teams participate in this tournament. Russians were the most successful at this tournament, they took 4 golden medals in 7 weight categories. Champions became the following judokas: Alim Gadanov (66 kg), Sirajudin Magomedov (81 kg), Kiril Denisov (90 kg) and Sergey Samoilovich (100 kg).
Mongolian Boldbaatar Ganbat became a champion in the lightest weight category, French Hugo Legran in 73 weight category and Egyptian Islam El Shehan in + 100 weight category.
American Trevis Stivenson who was beaten by Avtandil Chrikashvili at Grand Slam won bronze medal in 81 weight category.
World Master one of the prestige tournaments is in Judo International Calender, it will be hosted by Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan on January 15-16. Only those judokas who will have private invitation will take part in this competition. On January 29-30, Tbilisi hosts World Cup.
