Irakli Tsirekidze Could not Reach Tatami

The first unsuccessful day of Georgian judokas at World Championship is disappointment for fans but they will overcome it like other unsuccessful matches. But it depends on how a sportsman loses. According to one of the TV Channels broadcasting the championship, Oreidas Despain (100 kg) of Cuba curiously went through the 1/4 final - his opponent was late for the match and Cuban judoka was declared as the winner.
Irakli Tsirekidze was that judoka who was late for the match. Georgian judoka won 2 matches before and was considered as a favorite in the 1/8 final but...
"World Sport" is trying to contact to Georgian team management to find out the official reason of it but in vain. Amiran Totikashvili and his assistant Guram Modebadze had turned off their mobile phones.
Georgian judo is not in a good situation and this lost chance, maybe, was the only one medal that would give an inclination to Georgian head coach to estimate his team.
